Inflammation after circumcision

Hi guys, I’ve been circumcised for coming up to 7 weeks now. Recently, one side of my glans has become inflamed. My doctor prescribed me some Trimovate cream. Every time I put it on, it really hurts and is almost unbearable. Does this inflammation go away by itself?

Currently 5 days and nothing has happened. Do you know if this type of inflammation goes by itself?

That ointment is topical broad spectrum antibiotic and antifungal. If the condition does not improve within seven days, treatment and diagnosis should be re-evaluated. I think your doc just prescribed that cream without testing on a swab test first, what is on your wound. Maybe use should ask him/her what next, if that treatment won't work like a charm.

I'm not fanboy of any antibiotics myself. I used medical grade honey ointment for prevention on my wound instead of antibiotic creams what more often are used.

Yeah I totally agree. Before this cream I was prescribed antibiotics and they didn’t work so obviously it is not a infection. I’m just scared nothing will work and my balantitis is returning which was the reason for my circumcision. It’s really starting to scare me. But it’s weird how it’s only on one side of the head.

Any updates? How are you doing now? I’m on my 6th week and the bottom left side & very top of my glans is irritated and inflamed too 👎
