Just over 6 weeks after circumcision has extra skin

Not sure if normal but as per picture I have some skin/flesh that has appeared recently after my op end of June . There is a puss daily and the flesh skin kinda flaps . I had a stitch that came out in same area and doctor said to let it heal and seal it’s self . Just a bit worried as go on holiday next week still swollen and when I get erection it goes numb . Any advice ?

Hi, you've been to the doctor recently to have it checked if not I would have it checked again. I would wash daily with salted water it will help with healing and keep it clean. You can have numbness for some time after the circumcision it will come back.

This looks similar to what I’m going through. I had an infection after mine which was treated with 3 weeks of anti biotics. Now, after everything’s cleared I’m left with a hypertrophic or keloid scar. Basically it’s a red scar (the rest is all fine) except this part your showing - the most common pet for this to happen.

It will take 6 - 24 months to fully scar (it will go hard and dry) and will be very moist until then.

Get it checked out though to put your mind at rest. I did. And it’s safe to go on holiday in the pool etc.

Thank you for the comments . I went to the specialist and it seems with my stitch popping early some of my muscle tissue came out ( that’s what the flappy bit is ) but the hole sealed it’s self. I have to go back in surgery to get it cut open that bit put back in ,scar tissue burnt off then stitch back up . Can’t wait till I get back off holiday ....🙄!

How long did this hole take to seal up? Same thing happened to me and the Dr told me it should heal up on its own but didnt give me a time frame.
