Hi I’m having menapause symptoms at the age of 69, I’ve done it once and don’t like the night sweats , fatigue, and everything else, my doctor says it’s normal practice not to give HRT at my age so has anyone been prescribed anything and has it worked?

Menapause symptoms
I am 70 now and still need Hrt there is no age limit and with bodyidentical hormones the transdermal that absorbs through the skin is very safe with no risks of clots. Also Hrt is very beneficial for the Heart, Oesterporosis and Dementia . Some Gps have very little knowledge of Menopause as they don't train in it and they are not interested either. Women are suffering both mental and physical symptoms because of their lack of knowledge. Look at the Balance App that Doctor Louise Newson has set up to help us all. I hope you get the help you need.x
hi shortie, I am 63 and finished menopause at 50. I also started get hot flashes again. In US, they stopped hrt in the 90’s. They had lots of negative publicity, like linking to breast cancer. Maybe they came up with something safer since then. I never had hrt because I wasn’t certain. Still doesn’t answer your question but I was interested in your post because we both have a sudden recurrence of nasty hot flashes. I noticed I also get a bit nauseous too. I thought I was finished with all that 10 years ago. I have other health problems which I take alot meds for like hypertension and chronic pain. I have had alot of stress in from family issues lately and I am blaming that. I hope you feel better soon, I always have a hair tie for a quick ponytail like I did in my forties and fifties. Sorry I can’t help but I definitely relate.
