I have RA and trying to decide if HRT is the route to go..I am on many meds for the RA and not sure if HRT is safe. I have had RA for 35 years and currently I am 55 years old. I have not had a period in 5 months. My symptoms are heart palpitations, anxiety, brain fog, and, hot flashes. Will it get easier without HRT?

I can't talk about RA but no doubt someone more knowledgeable will be along soon.
HRT has definitely helped my OA and is generally considered safe. It is also thought good for our long term health and works better if started earlier.
Personally I would not try to tough it out unless it is specifically not a good idea for RA.
I have psoriatic arthritis which is similar to RA, I’m on 2 medications for this. HRT is as safe as any other medication, it’s made from more natural products which is closer to our own hormones. HRT also has many benefits. Look up dr Louise Newson
I take HRT in the form of pessaries because I kept getting UTI’s and thrush when I went through menopause , the brain fog I can live with.
Otherwise I wouldn’t have gone on it.
Have you tried the Starpowa gummies for menopause, I believe they are highly rated especially for night sweats ?
If you’re in the UK you could go to Holland and Barrett for alternatives before going down the HRT route. Plenty available.
