Tostran and vertigo/nausea

Hi all,

I started using HRT (Premique) a few months ago and feel much better. Started on Tostran, in addition, every other day, 2 weeks ago and have felt dizzy/wobbly daily for the last week. Has anyone else had this side effect on Tostran and how long did it last?

Hi there. I’ve only joined this morning as I was looking online to see if anyone has had a similar experience to me with Tostran gel. Seems you have. I only started last Monday but have been feeling dizzy and sick ever since last Tuesday. I only used two pumps last week and haven’t used since due to how I’m feeling. I’ve also had a sore throat and feeling really under the weather so not sure whether it’s a side effect or not! Just wondering if you had any further symptoms and whether you’re still using the Tostran? Daren’t use any more for the time being.

Hi I have just joined and the reason was to ask exactly the same question! I started onTostran gel two weeks ago at one pump every other day and for the last week have been feeling extremely dizzy and like I have vertigo. I spoke to a GP yesterday who suggested halving the dose for a week and then building back up. I really don’t want to give up on it as I really need it’s possible benefits but I would really like to hear advice from anyone who has experience with it please.

Hi Samalan. Yes! I was exactly the same. I felt a bit like I do when I have an espresso (very sensitive to caffeine). Vertigo type symptoms etc. So, what I did, I found the smallest pot I have - an old eye gel tester pot, cleaned it out and pump the dose in there. Then, I take half the gel with a tiny spoon, and use it every other day. Doing that I’ve honestly been fine and am reaping the benefits of the testosterone now. My days for the half dose are, Monday, weds, Friday, Sunday then Monday again. That equates to the 2 pumps per week I was prescribed. No dizziness at all this way. I rub it on my inner upper arm. I hope that helps! Any further questions please ask :-)

Ps, I keep the lid tight on the little pot so it doesn’t evaporate!

Thank you Eevee I cannot tell you how grateful I am for your reply as I have felt very worried about it but now I will stick to half the dose as you say and see if that works. I will let you know but so good to have you around to chat to thank you! X
