Hi there I just want some advice.I had my ovaries removed when I was 41 so was put on hrt femostan I tool for 7 years then I had a tia and was then diagnosed with aps.
Before the diagnosis I was told it could be because of the hrt and high cholesterol that I had the tia.
Anyways after the diagnosis I was taken off the tablets and went onto patches eveorl sequi but after a few months my heamotoligist advices against it but I continue to take it.
I have no problems and I do want to continue so I have been referred to at Thomas hospital awaiting blood results.
Can anyone advice and hrt which is safe with aps.
I also have the brac gene that’s why I had my ovaries removed
Thankyou all

I don't have the answer for you, regarding HRT with APS, but I just wanted to reach out since I may be in a similar situation as you.
I've recently learned that I too have a BRCA mutation, and am considering having prophylactic removal of both ovaries. I am currently 41. Additionally, I have been having health issues that suggest to me a vascular problem, which I think could be either APS or some kind of (autoimmune) vasculitis. Being in Canada, there is little help with diagnosis from doctors (sick for 2 years, constantly being told that my physical health issues are mental issues ... ) However, in the event that my suspicions are true, I will be in the same boat as you: to HRT or not to HRT.
Like I said, I know this doesn't help you, but sometimes it is nice to know that you are not alone.
I hope you soon get the answers that truly work out best for you.
