Headache for 10 days straight, 2 years and 4 months post VM.

Hi everyone,

I have a question since I’m experiencing something completely new.

I am 2 years 4 months post VM.

I am very very fortunate as I’ve never had migraines or severe headaches at all, at the beginning of, or during life, post VM.

But 10 days ago I started off with a headache in my forehead and temples.

Sensitivity to bright sunlight, noise also have been difficult and seem to worsen the headache. By evening, I close all of my blinds and turn off the few lamps I keep on. Darkness and quiet are very helpful.

I’ve been in to see my doctor, and he prescribed Fioricet, which is a tension headache medication.

I have tried it with no success in relief.

He believes my headache is stress related, which I disagree.

I’m not sure why I would be developing head pain and headaches now?? 2 years later?

I thought as time went on, this improved and even went away?

Has anyone else experienced something like this?

If a slight headache would come up in the past, ibuprofen would knock it out and it would not return. It did not even help in the least this past week when taking it.

It’s so debilitating to have a constant headache!!😖😫

I have a young child to care for and I do not have the option to sit in a dark room or lie in bed all day.

Help!

Any advice or experience any of you have had with something like this would be very helpful!

Thank you so much..

Jaime

Hiya

I'm sorry to say your very much like the rest of us,

There is no rhyme nor reason to our pains, we all seem to get one or more off a long list of side effects.

I'd suggest you have to find a solution and add that to the doctors assistants.

Just a thought, my 25 year old daughter use to get terrible migraine/head arches, you got her ear pierced in a particular way and they stopped....who knows, twenty quid seems cheap, best bit is , no pills to take and if it doesn't help its reversible. I'll ask her for the name of it or a link thingy

Hi, last Wednesday I woke up with a splitting headache. It was so bad, I ended up being violently sick, bursting a blood vessel in my eye. Since then, I have had a bad headache with sensitivity to light, noise and smell. The Dr saw me Friday afternoon and has prescribed amitryptaline for tension headache. I now have a neck ache too, but no temperature. I have been sleeping loads (luckily, my children are 16 & 18). I am the same as you in that I never normally suffer from bad headaches. Any advice on how to get rid of it would be greatly appreciated! It is so frustrating isn't it? I am 2 years and 2 days post Viral Meningitis!

It sounds like VM could be back... I'd go to Dr.

Good luck.
