my child got meningitis and I have questions about the after math

Hello everyone,

I have a question, my daughter was diagnosed with meningitis at 21 days old, we were in the hospital for 37 days, she had brain damage. she is now 18 months and we attend physical, occupational, visual therapy. if I sit her down she sit holding herself and she holds her bottle and moves all her extremities. If I stand her, she stands straight while I hold her. she was diagnosed with cortical blindness, and therefore balance for her is quite difficult, she doesn't say any words but she babbles and she laughs when you play with her. if you put things in her hands she can hold them. basically what I want to know is has anyone had a similar situation were your child has gotten better and has lived a normal life, and also has gotten to a point were he saw again. thank you in advance for your time.

I’m sorry your little one has been affected in this way. I can’t give any advice really as apart from a slight hearing issue my son has been virtually unscathed but this awful disease.
