I had suspected Viral Meningitis back in February of this year. I say "suspected" because I didn't go into hospital and have a LP. I was very ill with all the classic symptoms. My GP confirmed the diagnosis. It is now six months recovery. It has been extremely slow, with some progress doing short walks but frequent "crashing out" exhausted. Last Monday, I was sent to A&E and spent a night in hospital following three days of intense headache behind the eyes, nausea, vomiting. I thought the VM had come back. Following tow CT scans and blood tests, the hospital diagnosed severe Migraine. I was told by the neurologist that some patients develop migraine type headaches after VM. I am still experiencing headache behind the eyes and nausea. Concentrating, movement makes it worse. I am also really exhausted. I am eager to get back to the progress I had made. This relapse has really dented my positive outlook for recovery.
