hi, my husband has just been diagnosed with a meningioma in the frontal lobe after going to A & E with a terrible headache. They say it is slow growing and has probably been there for around 10 years! It’s been a complete shock for us. He is in hospital now and they plan to operate next week (keeping him in so they don’t lose the bed)! The operation sounds horrific! How do you cope? I’m so scared for him xx

Hi, sending you well wishes to both u and ur husband. I had a similar experience I was diagnosed after a issue with my eye, went from an eye test to diagnosis in a week, I was also told that my tumor had also been there approx 10years,
I have two young children and found it very hard to cope but we made it through and I had surgery last March , still have some tumor left as they couldn’t remove it all but I’m back at work (I’m a nurse), and feeling ok. Family support was essential but there is light at the end of the tunnel, I may have to have more surgery or radiotherapy in the future but I learnt to take each day at a time. Take care x
Hi I had a offactory groove meningioma operation in 2016 they said it had probably been growing for about 15 years,it was a big operation but I was home in 6 days , I lost my taste and smell forever but I have to be grateful it could have been worse, hope everything goes well for you, take care x
