Hi, I was diagnosed with 2 meningiomas in February 2019. Had my olfactory meningioma removed in March 2019. I still have a small one in the right posterior cranial fossa over the petrous edge that we are keeping an eye on.

How did your surgery go? I’ve recently been diagnosed with a 48mm tumour on my frontal lobe. Surgery is hopefully before Christmas.

Hi thanks for your comment. Yes surgery went well. I was in hospital for 8 days cause I wasn’t feeling the best, was only supposed to be in for 6. I still have some swelling and I can’t wear hats/beanies etc cause it causes more pain.

I lots my smell/most of my taste cause the tumour was behind my nose, hoping it may come back one day

Swelling tends to get worse when I’m not feeling well/stressed or I’ve done too much

You look so well. Your hair looks great too. Did you end up in ICU after surgery? How long before they got you out of bed?

Yeah was in ICU for the afternoon. I think they got me out of bed the next morning, but I was pretty much up wanting to take myself to the bathroom straight away. Didn’t want to use a bed pan 😂

I wondered if I would be given a catheter. Still waiting for a surgery date.

I had a catheter when I woke up in ICU, it was OK till the nurse sat on it! x lol
