We have just been advised by West Sussex council that our contribution to towards our daughters day care visits will be increasing this year, which I understand, however they have also confirmed the council contribution will be reducing so the total monthly combined figure will be same as last year in the direct payment pot.As the day centre is putting up it’s prices this means my daughter now only has enough money to have two days a week instead of the existing 4 days a week, anyone know if we can appeal this decision as the review carried out by the council suggested more support not less & every other person who goes has had their council contributions increased? Can’t seem to make any progress with ringing the council.

You could ask for an urgent social worker review, as they should be on the side of the individual rather than protecting the council budgets.... Or maybe see your MP?
