Supported living

Is it normal to pay for all stationary the staff use in supported living? My sons place is finding new charges on an almost monthly basis without any consultation. Now he must buy receipt book, staples, a4 paper pens, not for him, they send anything to us by email. I get the receipt book, but even that they keep.

my supported living company charge social services something like £19 a hour for my support, staff are only paid min wage. We don't have to contribute anything towards staff things, the care company provide them. Also because I have section 117 aftercare because I've been sectioned on a section 3 in the past I don't have to pay anything towards my care out my PIP.

Thanks for replying, it seems the company running the house for my son is becoming very money minded, and yes they pay peanuts too. My son already pays £128 a week towards care too. Now the house keeps changing things and finding more things to charge. I have spoken to a few people too who feel this is wrong. I will talk to our SW.

I think it is wrong too. Here at my house the staff have their own office in the garden with sleep room, it's on the same gas/electric bill as the house but the care company pay towards our gas/electric bill as they use our washer and dryer every day for staffs bedding. Also they supply everything for the staff, including toilet paper. Also their is a kettle and fridge/freezer and microwave in the office.
