Hi there. I did post about trying to hey a council property for me n my severely disabled sister. Well update, they said am I band 5 ( East riding) and number 12. For a bungalow.

Said it would be years. I pointed out about her struggling with getting out of shower, it's a very small 2 bed house we have, so it's overcrowded.

Carnt afford to move to an other private rent.

So pretty much stuck.

Maybe apply for Adaptations to the House, eg Wet room installation. Stairlift, that would make your Sister more comfortable & yourself.

Grant from Council, you shouldn't have to pay anything. Hope you get your Bungalow, in the end, even if the wait is a long one.

I will make enquiries on Mon. I hope she gets one , it's shocking the way she's been treated. 💥

Not sure what area you are, but look up Charities, eg Age Uk, things like that, Adult Social Care etc. Might be of some help.

East riding, wer with hull city council now. No choice but 2 remove her from an abusive home. East riding social workers wer crap. Hull not too bad, but she misses her freinds, and family who live in East riding. With no family support ( apart from me ) So wer trying to get her / us bk to East Riding.

By doing good, she's being penalised.
