Hello

My husband & I had covid in January.

Our son with autism & learning disabilty stayed well.

I did a test on him & sent it off. It came back negative.

I understand that if you have had covid, you have some natural immunity to it.

I understand you still need to take precautions.

Although we were ill with covid, we did not need hospital treatment.

Is it best for my husband & I to wait a while before having the vaccine ?

What is the advise on allergies & the vaccines ?

Are you given advise only if you have severe allergies ?

Thank you for your time

Maisey

Good Morning,

I'm glad you were not awfully affected by your experience with COVID, it sadly isn't always the case for many, especially if they have any underlying health conditions.

In order for people to get the best advice around this, would be to contact their GP and go over any concerns and the same applies if anyone concerned about any medication they are on.

I have found a website that specialises around people with Allergies, this is however only a suggestion not a recommendation from Mencap.

anaphylaxis.org.uk/covid-19...

People of course have a choice but I would just advise that you look into everything, all the pro's to getting vaccinated and any cons that of course can come with anything.

The Vaccine doesn't just protect the person, it also helps protect others.
