Hi Pogo121 welcome to the community 🙂
Although it’s natural to feel apprehensive about writing your feelings down I can assure you we are a friendly bunch who help each other and only give support and encouragement not judgement.
Is there anything specific you need advice on at the moment? Being newly diagnosed must be quite overwhelming for you. Do you have family and/or friends who you can confide in, or perhaps you are looking for local support groups to join?
Others here will no doubt be able to answer your questions but in the meantime have you tried the other online forums on HealthUnlocked such as
Adult ADHD Support
Autism Support
Asperger Syndrome
Anxiety and Depression Support
Good luck in finding the answers you need.
All the best

Thank you ever so much for your reply, my partner and her son support me, due to my step son being autistic, but theres only so much they can help with, and I would like to know and understand how others cope/deal. I'd love to shake this really low depressed feeling away, so my question is, how do I do this? Sorry if I'm not making much sense. I also would like advice/guidance from this community, as I really want to make sure my marriage works and I dont do my wife's head in x
Hi again Pogo121
It is completely understandable that you want to focus on your marriage.
The National Autistic Society have some great info on this - autism.org.uk/about/family-...
There is also an article from Nicholas that is brilliant - network.autism.org.uk/knowl...
Cheers

Hello Pogo121
Welcome. As Hidden says we are friendly bunch so please don't feel nervous.
This must be a very hard time for you, but getting diagnosed might the best way to find support. The list from Thomas-the-Tank would be a good starting point.
I am sorry you are feeling depressed - does your GP know how you feel? They would be the best person to start with. It can be daunting opening up, but your GP is there to help and will listen to you. They are likely to know about support available in your area, and other ways to help.
Mind have such a lot of great information online. Have a look on here - mind.org.uk/information-sup...
You are also welcome to call our helpline on 0808 808 1111. It is free and confidential.
Best wishes, Sarah
Hi, have just been reading through the posts and wondered how you are feeling now and have you had your assessments re the ADHD or any developments re your depressive mood? It would be lovely if you are able to post back and let us know how your doing. Best wishes.
