Hello guys Im been treated very badly by the police and social services I’m trying to work out how I can get away from them my social worker won’t help me can anyone help me please I want to move I want to get away from them I don’t want to them to know where I am I don’t no what to do

Someone told me to get a solicitor I don’t no what there job is I Rung lots of solicitors and they said they can’t help me and I have a learning disability so it’s hard for me to know what to do I’ve tried everything I tried talking to mencap I tried talking to citizens advice I tried talking to solicitor no one can help me citizens advice said well can you send a complaint to this person and I said I find it hard to write things what to say and they said well you told me so why can’t you just write it it’s not very good I tried talking to refuge people citizens advice said can you go to a letting shop I think there’s where you can private rent they make it sound like it’s so easy

You are your own solicitor {sols} coz no one cares. I am sorry about your disabilities and the fact you can't find the right help. I dunno but, if you have money to spend, contact Irwin Mitchell Sols and if you don't.. you got to find Legal Aid Sols.. It can be difficult {as they collude} and that is I do it myself

I don’t have L I don’t have anyone to help me I don’t have any family or friends I’ve tried asking everybody mencap citizens advice they all won’t help me they keep telling me to talk to social services but they’re the ones being bad so I can’t talk to them I’m stuck here and people can do whatever they want to me now

You can get an advocate to help you . Since you have a disability . My son was in exactly the same position and no body was listening he was under 18 at the time . We were advised he have an advocate and that changed everything .

I'm so sorry you feel that the police and social workers are treating you badly , If you could get in touch with the charity MIND for Mental health problems? or MENCAP if you are Learning Disabled? , they maybe able to direct you to get some help .??.moving might not be the answer ? , I hope you can get some practical help and you can get somewere safe and secure for your future ... Yes I have thanks I’ve tried everything now and I tried to complain about the police and no one takes me seriously the police are getting away with bullying people they have strangled me before pulled my pants down say is there any reason your walking slow shout at me push my head on the floor say what you trying to gain I don’t understand why there saying that

Ask adult social care to refer you to advocacy scheme then you can have someone independent to talk to and who can write letters for you e.g. Pohwer. Some solicitors give free legal advice and some don't. It depends if they have a contract for that. You probably need a 'community care' solicitor if you have problems with the council about social care. Solicitors specialise in different areas of the law. Each organisation should have a complaints procedure and someone should be able to help you. You can make a complaint verbally although it is better to have a written note of the points you are making.

Have you tried the learning disability help line? They were really helpful when I called them for my son.Another thing is you could always speak to your gp they have a duty to protect you.

I do hope you can actually get someone to physically help you. It's not good enough us all saying have you tried this and that. You need phone numbers and contacts. It really annoys me that all this about charities helping people. When it comes down to anyone asking, there's no chance.If you are good with the computer can you find any helplines there? I do hope you get help soon. I feel so sorry for you.

I tell lots of People the social workers aren’t doing anything about it and after I’ve told them everything they tell me you need to talk to you social worker it’s not very nice I’m telling them personal things And they tell me to talk to to talk to my social worker when I told them there not doing anything people People think it’s okay for the whole world to know everything about me I’m very upset about this

Yes social workers have never been helpful to us either, so I understand what you are saying. You are explaining yourself so well about the meetings and everything. It is awful they are not taking any notice. Always ask for the Manager or Person in charge too and make sure who you are speaking too. Would it be hard for you to send an email to the Director of your social services and complain about the service? I haven't got any disabilities and through the years, trying to help my sons, has been very difficult indeed. So I really understand that you are not being listened too. They are not treating you fairly or with respect from the sounds of it.

I mean ask the independent social worker about your concerns. One of your concerns was does she as the independent social worker have to speak to the council social worker. Just ask the independent social worker about ALL the concerns you have. You will be paying her, part of her job is to answer your questions.

Make sure that the independent social worker specialises in learning disability.Try the Sunshine support Group first, they are very good.
