Hello friends

My Moderna vaccinated son has covid . He isn’t terribly ill at this time, and hopefully the vaccine will keep the virus in check. I am sharing this because people dealing with melanoma don’t need to add covid to the

mix. My son followed CDC guidelines and got vaccinated in February . Maybe the melanoma treatments altered his response to the vaccine . Maybe it’s just a case of break thru covid in a vaccinated person . Our whole family is quite cautious and we continue to wear masks . I guess we will even take that up a notch . I am

convinced that this delta variant is serious . I’m wishing you well as you do all that you can to protect yourself . Stay safe out there.

Me and Ryan have still decided not to get the vaccine. Ryan doesn’t believe in the political agenda attached to it. So we are waiting for data. Not anti Vaxxers by any means. I am so sorry to hear he is sick.. please keep us updated on how he is doing 🙏🏻

Thanks Kelly . He was sick for 8 days and quarantined for 14 ( lots of work days lost). His symptoms were like a bad cold or flu. We initially thought that the symptoms were from his treatment since they started right after Keytruda/ TVek . Must admit that we were shocked when it turned out to be covid . The experts keep saying that you get relatively mild symptoms with breakthrough covid and that seemed to be the case . Hoping that everyone stays well. Covid is running wild here .

Sorry he’s been ill and lost work time but happy to hear his case has been mild. Missy

Yes, glad to hear your son is on the mend. Hopefully the vaccines are keeping the worst reactions to an episode at bay.
