Hello to all you beautiful people! How are you guys doing? I understand the challenges we face and pray our strength.
I have been having a really rough time, I have been spending even more time in bed, last week my mental health was really challenged, had that to me raising a very rebellious teenager, dealing with pkd and menopause, I really try to stay positive but this life can be overwhelming.
So here i am another Monday in bed😩😏

Sorry to hear that you’ve been having a rough time.
I know all too well about needing to have complete rest days. 😐
I noticed that you mentioned menopause. It’s something I struggled with for years. I finally asked to go on HRT a few months ago - and can report that I’m finding it most helpful. It has especially reduced my brain fog symptoms, and just that alone has helped me to feel better mentally.
HRT is not a solution for everybody (and I certainly don’t know about how it would fit with a PKD diagnosis!) as I can only speak personally. However I would encourage anyone of menopausal and peri-menopausal ages to consider exploring this as a possible option.
Has HRT cured me? No, definitely not! It’s another small but useful piece of a very complicated jigsaw that is my life with CFS.
(Btw, I didn’t have an obvious linked viral cause to my diagnosis - so got given the CFS label instead of the ME label, but believe me when I say that it’s very much the same to live with! 🙄).
Take care of yourself, and keep on trying to live your best possible life. x
Hi Paige . Sorry you're stuck in bed . I am too. I'm struggling with higher levels of fatigue due to the menopause. I haven't felt so tired in all the years of ME. Ear problems add to the burden. What can do we do?! I'm reluctant to take HRT even though I know it works wonders for some people. Hope you feel better soon.
