My husband was in the shop next door and, rather than sitting in the car, I thought Iβd take a browse through TK Maxx to have a look at their gardening stuff. Iβve picked up some quirky pieces in the past and I love checking what they have.
They didnβt have anything that took my fancy and so naturally I headed to the sports section π
In my head I heard, βI donβt need any more running gear. I donβt need any more running gearβ¦β I mean, I didnβt even look at the recent Sweaty Betty sale for goodness sake! Surely that proves that I absolutely do not need any more running gear!
But then my beady eyes spied these shorts just screaming at me from the rows of dark colours. βLook at me! Look at me! You know you want toβ I saw my hand head over to the rail. The next thing I knew my eyes were checking the size (mine!) and tag. Oh dear, recommended retail price Β£50, TK Maxx price Β£12. Felt really good quality. Adidas. I repeated the mantra, βI donβt need any more running gearβ¦.β My hand lingered. I put them back on the rail. I walked away.
βThatβs a great price for those shorts. They look a really great shape and I love the colour. I canβt walk away from that reduction, can I? I mean I could do with another pair of shorts. I could try them on. I mean, they might not be comfy or they might not fit. Letβs try them on at least.β
So, I tried them on.
I now have another pair of shorts ππββοΈππ€
(Oh and I bought a top to go with them π€£)
