We have a splendid start to the month with lots of awesome VRBs heading to their start lines; so, let's turn a blind eye to the weather forecast, get ourselves into position, pom poms aloft, ready to raise a massive cheer for our wonderful runny friends. At time of posting, all our events are taking place on Sunday:
⭐️First up we go to South Wales where OldManRunning and Cowladyrunning are taking on the City of Newport HM. This will be OMR's first official HM and we can't wait to give him his shiny HU badge. For CLR it's a last minute entry, but often they turn out to be the best kind of races! Have fun guys.
⭐️Next we move south and east, across the border, where Curlygurly2 and Joster will be running the Cambridge HM. With a new route this year - taking in four of the University colleges - be sure to go the right way CG2, 26.1k is far enough! Hope the knees hold out Joster! Enjoy!!!
⭐️Then a little further south and a little further east, Kalessin will be tackling the Chelmsford HM; hopefully it will bedrier and less muddy than your training runs have been, although the forecast doesn't necessarily support that! Keep smiling!!!
⭐️ Finally, we head a bit further south to Kent where Langley-Loper will be running her 6th HM, the Paddock Wood HM. Whether you attempt that PB or decide to run with your friend LL, this will be a fast one so we'll be sure to turn up on time with our pompoms! Have a blast!!!
🍏Love that little chick! He’s too cosy to be doing any marathons but good luck to those who are training for your first HM or full one. I will certainly be cheering you on! My nephew is running the two oceans Marathon in Cape Town & qualified last weekend.
Beautiful! We had a farm student staying with us last year from there and we couldn't believe the temperatures she said they had!! Enjoy it, it looks wonderful.
Wow!! It really is getting going now! What a lovely bunch of runners 😍 All the best to everyone running races this weekend, we’ll be shaking our pom poms really hard for you in the Kat residence 🥳🥳🥳
Pom Poms and cheering from Middlesbrough to you all! Enjoy the experience and your deserved reward of the race itself. You've all done brilliantly getting to the start line 👏
