FRIDAY POM-POMS ARE HERE! 🥳📣

Well, we have a plethora of fab runners this weekend who will be turning up at some fantastic events. So, get those pompoms fluffed up and arms warmed up ready to wave loads of support.

⭐️First up we have the ever-ready  cheekychipmunks ,  TailChaser and  Katnap who will be meeting up in Bath for the Two Tunnels runs. Cheeky is tackling the 10K and TC and KN will be doing the HM.

The Two Tunnels are right under the city of Bath and have been repaired and upgraded so that walkers, runners and cyclists can enjoy using the paths. The first tunnel is 408m long and the second one is 1672m long, so plenty of opportunity to practice your yodelling and take some atmospheric photos guys 📸

⭐️Next we head from the tunnels in Bath to the centre of London for the iconic London Winter 10K Run which is always popular with our VRBs. This year we have a BIG group of fabulous runners taking part,  David_G ,  Jogger22 ,  Mudita11 ,  Sandraj39 and  Time_Lord

The closed road route will take runners through the heart of London passing landmarks such as St. Pauls Cathedral and Trafalgar Square. It’s also well known that various furry creatures will be mingling amongst the runners too, so keep an eye out for those everyone!

⭐️ Finally, we move away from London to Wales where we will find  Cowladyrunning At the start line of the Pontypool 10K. This scenic route starts off downhill, then there’s a flat stretch before a short(ish) climb to the Monmouthshire and Brecon canal towpath. Apparently the last mile is “undulating” before the gorgeous setting of Pontypool Park and a slight uphill to the finish line. Sounds a bit up and down but you’ll take it in your stride CLR 💪

What a line up...tunnels..London..and Wales!!Go everybody ..but just a social mention for David_G . .who continues to inspire me and a heck of a lot of us, not just for his comeback from his heart attacks, but for his new role as a voluntary support we to folk who have gone through heart problems.

My first run beyond 5k since the GSR in October too! I know I’m a bit unorthodox, but those who know my running style will understand all will be just fine! 😅 Just don’t copy me! 😂

I really recommend the Two Tunnels. The weather was shocking, but seeing as how most of the race is in the tunnels, it didn’t affect me until the end. I love Relish events too, and I’ll do Cheddar again this year. 😀

I did enjoy Cheddar too..,. 🤔 Maybe I'll book 2 tunnels next year. Though I think they do it twice a year don't they? I'm going to Jeff Newport because of my lack of training 🙊

Shoes just about dried from this weeks puddles, so just in time to get soaked again! Youngest kitten will be joining us for the 10k but there’s no places in cheekychipmunks ’ wave so I suspect he’ll have to do the ‘Hilly’ route. No doubt he’ll be super speedy!!
