Hello lovely VRB's. It's that time of the week again. Drum roll please - yes it's pompom time!
We have some fabulous folk heading out this weekend and coming week, so please gather yourselves together, and let's show them some top level support!
First up, on Saturday 11th we have two wonderful runners crossing the start line:
Jogger22 will be running the Saturn - We Will Remember 2023; a timed challenge, run in laps around lee Valley Country park; good luck with your 10k target and putting injury behind you Jogger22
Hedgehogs123 will be venturing into the dark for the Rutland 10K night run; this event promises a great atmosphere and spectacular views along the beautifully lit course around Rutland Lake.
Reggit , tackling the Lytham Windmill Remembrance 10k; so long as the sea breeze isn't against you, this fast, flat coastal route may just help you to your sub one hour target - good luck fyldecoastrunners.com/windm...
And finally, on Thursday 16th, we have a mid-week racer:
MissUnderstanding will also be venturing into the dark, this time for the Severn Bridge 5 Night Race (5 miles) ; with glow sticks and glow in the dark makeup this should be a jolly jog indeed! Have fun Miss U!
We'll all be furiously waving our pompoms for you π₯³πͺ Good luck, but most of all enjoy!!!
Anyone else with a race this week? Do let us know by replying in the comments here so we can include you too.

Oh my, what interesting races we have this weekend. A special well done to Jogger22 and Reggit , who are running in remembrance . Iβve often done the RBL Poppy Run but itβs not on this year.
And 2 night races for MissUnderstanding and Hedgehogs123 ! They do sound lovely and very different. I wish you a still, dry evening. Having done the Severn Bridge 10k and parkrun, Iβd just love to run it in the dark with glow sticks. You will have so much fun.
many thanks Dexy5 fingers crossed my cold doesn't get any worse. Good luck to Reggit MissUnderstanding and Hedgehogs123 hope you all have fun at your races! π€
well done to Reggit and Jogger, running for remembrance seems like such a nice thing to do. Hedgehog and MissU enjoy your running in the dark, sounds like a lot of fun. Pom Poms waving in Stratford xxx
Ooh night time running! Iβd love to do that but my night time eyesight is not the best so heaven knows where Iβd end up π«£ Have fun doing it Hedgehogs123 and MissUnderstanding !
The Remembrance Runs will be poignant no doubt, such a lovely way to remember π₯° well done Jogger22 and Reggit
Thank you! The nerves are ticking up a bit and I w got a cold but Iβm sure when I get there itβll be fun. Iβm not aiming for a time, just to have fun. The forecast is dry and thatβs a massive bonus!!
many thanks linda9389 for the shoutout. I'm starting to feel the beginnings of a cold unfortunately but provided I don't feel too bad in the morning then my aim is still to participate!π
Wow!! What a line up!! Enjoy your days and nights! Night runs can be amazing. I look back on my night run up to the top of the Wainstones on a clear and frosty night about 3 years ago. It was so clear; I have never seen so many stars. I hope they put in a stellar show for you.π
Wishing bon courage to Jogger22 , Hedgehogs123 , Reggit and MissUnderstanding - in particular to Hedgehogs123 as Rutland Water is very close to home and a beautiful location.
Canβt believe my pom-poms arenβt out yet. Poor show on my behalf; Iβm usually out shaking them around nice and pronto. Nonetheless, theyβre out now, shaking away enthusiastically for you wonderful runners! Good luck to you all, night or day, and be sure to have a blast. Youβre all rockstars! β€οΈ
