Hydration update

My vest arrived .... and it's gone straight back. Needed to be a contortionist to get it on, so many ties and zips. Perhaps I'm too busty because the water bottles would have been in my armpits. Back to the drawing board or maybe I just give up and resign myself to running holding my water bottle. Thanks to everyone for the recommendations and advice.

It's not easy finding Ng the right kit is it? I have started by holding a water bottle then tucked it into the back if my shorts , good luck in your search for the perfect hydration jacket

I just read your original post after I saw this one. Oh I couldn't be doing with all that faff!

Another vote for a belt from me. I’ve always worn a Nathan belt with two small bottles (9 ounces each) and this has worked perfectly up to HM distance. The belt is comfortable and doesn’t budge and I don’t feel it even when the bottles are full, although you can hear the water jostling which sounds like my tummy on a bad day 😂

I hate feeling constricted on a run so it’s important to have something really comfy. Shop around a little and maybe head to a sports shop to try a few belts on.

That's disappointing. Don't give up. There will be something out there for you ...

oh what a shame.

Maybe have a look at the following review for running belts. Your last post made me go down a rabbit hole a bit, as my own running belt-hydration solution is loosing tension and I think it’s time to get a new one.

So this video was really insightful.

And I’m torn between the top two.

Have a look

I have a backpack with a bladder which goes in the back.

I just went back and found your other post too after reading this. That's a shame it wasn't comfy - I just read the recommendations with interest as I think I need one with soft bottles and a bladder. At the moment I have the decathlon cheapest and love it - it took me a while to get the fit right though. Now I can't even feel it when running but when I did the HU half on that hot day I drank it dry and needed more!!!

Not what you're looking for?
