After the gigantic wave of events last weekend, the pompoms can slow down a bit but they can’t rest yet as we have a few VRBs running this weekend.
🎽 Our own intrepid aliboo70 will be running The Newchurch 9 on Sunday, a lovely sounding 9K trail through woods and cycle tracks. I believe there will be cake and a raffle afterwards, so one definitely worth running for 😋
🎽 It wouldn’t be a pompom wave without our very own speedster RunBrianRun who will be representing his club at the Sussex Vets League Competitions on Monday. You just seem to be getting faster and faster Brian 🏃♂️
🎽 And finally, our brave Hedgehogs123 along with some members of her running club, will be tackling The Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge tomorrow. A 24 mile round trip route with 1585m of ascent 🙀 You’ve got this Hedgehogs, go get it!
Enjoy your runs aliboo70 and RunBrianRun and all of the HU HM and 10k runners out there this weekend. The total mileage over the week will be huge. A brilliant idea 💡 🙂
Good luck you fabulous duo aliboo70 and RunBrianRun ! I’ll be keeping you company (and myself once you’re long done) doing my HUHM! You needn’t wait! 😅
Thankyou IP and all my fellow runners ,but I must confess its only 9k not 9 miles! I've not ran at all since having covid, 10 days now, still been feeling bit flaky. So will be taking it gently but thankyou for all the good luck wishes 😊 xxx
All the best to my fellow runners with events and all the HU virtual 10kers and HMers xxx
Pompoms aloft for aliboo70 , RunBrianRun and Hedgehogs123 , wishing you all the very best for your extremely varied exploits. Plus bonus cheers for the remaining HUHM10K runners. Have fun, all of you!
Thank you, feels like Christmas Eve, I'm meant to go to bed early as the minibus is leaving at 5.30 am so I'm up at 4am, but I'm too excited ( and nervous!!)💪💪😵💫😵💫
Yorkshire 3 Peaks, done and dusted!!! I'll do my race report tomm complete with pics, after I tackle the stairs as I can feel my quads and calves stiffening as I write this!!😂💪🏅
I'm doing my 2nd HM (The River Moy half marathon in Ballina, County Mayo) in a week this morning (where in incorporating the HU10k into it 🤣), timing is a bit stupid of me. Hopefully I've had a good enough rest as I've only done an easy 3k on Thursday and nothing else.I've just arrived and got my number (351) and long sleeved T shirt 👕 as we had to be here between 7 and 9 to collect and the run doesn't start till 10. Not sure how I'll run it yet, I'll go by feel and see.
Ha ha, most probably Cmoi and Irishprincess 🤭. I mentioned it 3 days ago in the weekly chat, which was probably the wrong place 🤣. It's been a bit of a crazy week so I was all over the place a bit.. I got to the place early to collect my bib and had a bit of time so posted about my run. I think I needed those pom-poms today. Absolutely wrecked now and I'm going to enforce a 2 week rest from running (as I should have done after the marathon).
Well done on getting through the race Freecloud , and yes, sounds like a rest is in order, you've been super-busy!
Re where to post, the weekly pompoms post is created by one of the admin team, and is based on replies to the monthly event post.
