Yes indeed, the tenth month of the year is upon us already, and who needs Oktoberfest when there’s a feast of fantastic HU runners to celebrate instead?!
Your biggest, fluffiest pompoms are required on Sunday 2nd October for a host of races, mostly variations on the theme of a marathon.
Oh, and apparently there’s some little event called the 📣📣📣 London Marathon 📣📣📣 tcslondonmarathon.com as well. Seems it’s quite popular 🤨 so send loads of support to this capital crowd:

soooo excited for all of you running this weekend, especially my neighbour, friend and training buddy Tailchaser. You will all be amazing I know it. I will be thinking of you all and following the LM on the app while I take on the role of Health & Safety Officer and member of the organising team at my women’s cycle group’s first sportive (yes we are very nervous). My poms poms will be virtual but I will be waving them frantically. Good luck everybody. Xxxxx

Just to tell you Cmoi that on Sunday there is also The Great Scottish Run in Glasgow Scotland, this is a 10K and Half Marathon, I wish all the runners all the very best.
I am not sure about that Cmoi, the last time this event was held was 2019 when several HU runners took part, however, those same runners haven't posted anything on this forum for years so I am not sure if there is anyone in the Glasgow area on HU running either the 10K or Half Marathon, I will be travelling to Glasgow on Sunday morning, but to spactate, not run and cheer the runners on.
I think it's fair to say that HU pompom posts usually only include events and runners mentioned in responses to the monthly events post. The Marathon Team couldn't possibly list all the races in which HU runners have previously participated, nor name-check people who haven't told us about their participation!
Similarly, occasionally people mention their events on Strava but not on here. If I notice that I'll message them to see if they'd like a pompom shout-out or not.
Superstars deserve Super Pom Poms, and my West Country ones are just that. They’ve started waving now, and they’ll continue until the end of the weekend. Go go go you epic bunch. 🏃♀️🏃♂️🏆🏅 ❤️

Ahh I’m soooo relieved yours didn’t end up like mine. I simply couldn’t have done it. I think it’s finally on the way out now. 🙏🏻 I’m back to regular yoga and will be running at the gym in a bit. I’m not going to push anything, but I’ll be on that GSR starting line. 🤸♀️
