I am really, really pleased with this morningβs run! I set out at 6:22am so as to make sure it was still fairly cool, and it really was worth the effort setting my alarm early and going to bed early last night. I meant to do 12k or so, but I was going super slow, so was able to make it to 10 miles hurrah! It took about 10 minutes longer than usual but thatβs ok as it was starting to warm up by the time I finished. Thankfully my route is pretty shady anyway, so that helped. I think a fair few folk had the same idea as me as I saw some other runners and cyclists all doing their thing too. Iβve worked out where all the rabbits π live, and itβs always fun to see them darting out of the hedges to have a good nose at the heffalump plodding past!
This run has really cheered me up. My Sunday runs are special because I donβt have to dash off to work afterwards, and Iβm just having a nice cup of coffee contemplating what to do with the day! Who knows? Nothing or something, we shall see.
I went to some beautiful gardens yesterday, Sir Harold Hillier arboretum, the big garden cheese round here. Anyway, the flower and the tree in the photos are from there.
Have a lovely sunny Sunday everyone! πππ

Wow I love to see peoples long runs, it gives me hope that Iβll get there in the end, what lovely photos and well worth getting up early to beat the heat
I sometimes run by time not distance as I think it helps me build endurance without the pressure. Eg. Iβm going to run 90mins or 2hours without worrying about distance covered. π
Awe sounds like a wonderful run Frenc.. full of happy vibes πSunday is my rest day where I tend to do as little as possible..you would have finished your 10 Miles before I was even awake π€£
Lovely pics as always π
I hope you've kept that happy feeling thoughout your day, whatever you did βοΈπ
Thank you! Your Sundays sound like my Saturdays - I do very little π€£. It was brill getting back and the day hadnβt really even started yet. Thereβs no way Iβd have done it later though as the temperatureβs really starting to go up now! This coming weekβs going to be hot hot hot, like most places. so early runs for the foreseeable really π₯΅! I hope all is ok in Glasgow and that your sister is improving. πππ
What a brilliant run and milestone distance π Well done because it's a long time on your feet and also in this heat. I hope your day went well after. Huge congratulations π π
