Treadmill run: The runs after the big events are always the hardest for me as the monumental effort to complete a half marathon burns me out for a week or two after.
I set out to run 10K on Monday and only managed 5K and some weights after. Today I pushed myself to finish the 10K as I didn’t want a psychological block about completing it. I have to say that it took all my mental strength to get through it. I was feeling very fatigued around 7-8K and I almost stopped. However, I’m made of stronger stuff these days and forced myself to the finish line only a couple of minutes off my PB. At some point in the bear future I’m going to knock 5 minutes of my current PB, I can sense it. For now though, I have to get my motivation back so that every run isn’t a monumental struggle with myself.
