A question for you all 😀

I was wondering if after you’ve all done your runs if you get a feeling in your feet that makes them feel like they’re vibrating?

I had it a few times after doing longer runs before I was diagnosed with ET but finding it happens after most of my runs now ,it’s not painful,it just feels abit strange 😀

I can’t say I have ever felt this. My feet have felt hot and throbbing sometimes but I always put it down to heat and being a bit constricted in socks and shoes and of course the’re recovering from all that work!

I’m not sure I’d know the difference between my feet throbbing and vibrating though. Is it the same feeling?

They definitely don’t throb,I guess I must be strange 🤣🤣

I can understand why you’d want to find out exactly what’s causing it…. 🤔

Usually it's a tingling feeling in the soles after a run. I notice it most if I've run barefoot.

PS. There's a strong chance I might be at Blickling parkrun on July 2nd.

Think I might have had that sensation of tingling feet but not recently. It might even have been when getting up from the sofa after sitting with a leg tucked under me.

Generally after any run, short or long, I don’t have a tingling sensation. I might have a slight sense of battered feet from pounding the pavement for a long time, but no tingling.

Umm no, I've never experienced this Purplecat68 . If I ever get odd sensations in my feet during or after running it's invariably because I've laced my shoes badly.

That's a good point re the lacing. Ive had really bad pain over the last week with the balls of my feet and so now, I have bought some new cushioned insoles, started ball rolling on my feet, new supportive socks, but I did wonder if the lacing up would also add to it. I have elasticated reflective laces and I think they are a bit tight and I didn't realise the way you lace up your running shoe can make a difference. So you have prompted me to check that too!

Glad to have helped Hedgehogs123 . It sounds daft, doesn't it, saying it might be the way the shoes are laced up, but I know that loosening off my laces and also changing the actual lacing pattern helped me. I wish Brooks put longer laces in their shoes though!

Hi just wanted to say, I tried relacing my shoes last night using the link you sent, and ......no pain!!! So I reckon with the insoles, supportive socks and laces done differently it seems to have eased the pain! Thank you again!!👏

My running pals have commented on this before and solved it by not lacing their shoes so tight. In fact, some of them have them so loose now they can slip their feet in and out without undoing the laces. No more tingling.

Hi, yes I also have tingly feet & legs after a run, I assumed it was just the muscles, etc being worked & recovering, not unpleasant though

I haven't PC. Does sound uncomfortable though. Hope you find a solution.

When were you diagnosed with ET and are you taking anything to try to combat that? I'm especially interested if you noticed the ET after having had the AZ vaccine. I'm trying to help my best mate who has developed ET post vaccine. There is some research that certain supplements can help. There are also stats to suggest this is not that uncommon.

HiI was diagnosed September 2021 with ET even though my platelets were high since 2014 but my previous GP never told me.

I’m only on aspirin at the moment,I used to get the feeling in my feet after long runs about 3 or 4 years ago.

I had the pfizer vaccine.

Ah sorry, just realised we're at cross purposes, I was thinking ET as I'm Essential Tremor.

I would imagine the foot thing was definitely connected. 🤔 Interesting though.
