All the action this weekend is on Sunday April 24th!!! So limber up, tune up, oil those vocal chords and get ready to shake your pom poms and shout loud and proud to give our awesome runners our very best HU support!
Thank you Linda and all! For some reason Iβm a bit scared! Iβve been waiting to do this race for so long, it was supposed to be my first HM 2 years so itβs feeling like my first HM! Argh, stupid head π€£ body has done 7 of these things now!Unfortunately Katnap is still injured following Manchester so I will continue pestering him to get an appointment with someone and get him to get the beers in at the end.
Good luck to everyone running this weekend! Youβve all got this!! πͺπͺπͺπ₯³
Pom poms being madly waved! Best of luck Katnap , TailChaser , and Time_Lord . At around 10.5k youβll be Hathaway there! And best of luck too to Mudita11 - Iβll be cheering you on from a bit further up the M3. πππ.
Ok Shakespeare people, remember β¦βWisely and slow; they stumble that run fast.β Thought a a spot of WS was needed in honour of the occasion!! Have a great day Mundita 11. ππππ
Have lots of fun out there πππββοΈπββοΈπββοΈπββοΈπββοΈπββοΈπββοΈπββοΈπββοΈπββοΈπββοΈπ°βοΈπ
The pompoms worked, thank you all so much. I finished in about 1 hour 19 minutes with an average pace of just under 8 minutes per km (thatβs fast for me lol). The course was great but running (walking) over the Itchen Bridge twice is tough. Hereβs a photo of it taken by Mike Daish Photography yesterday. Canβt see me in it π€£ I would have been behind the camera - way behind. Loved every single minute of it, my first actual race. My second is next Monday at the London Vitality 10000 xx
Fabulous. Congratulations! So pleased you enjoyed it.You could always post this as a separate run report post if you wish, so more people will see it (it will be a bit lost here amongst the discarded pom poms and banners π).
