Beautiful morning to run my first 10miles this year, building up nicely for a half marathon distance in March. I ran further along the Macclesfield canal for the first time to get the extra distance in. Pausing at what I’m now calling the third bridge - inspired naming! I have all kinds of names along my routes when describing where I’ve ran to. I’m not too sure what Strava was up to between 9 & 10 k as it had me crossing the canal and over a field and back - without the aid of the bridge!!! Not to worry what’s an extra 3 minutes outside on this beautiful February morning, perfect for a long run. I’ve only 138 miles to go on my Welsh coastal path route and shall be leaving Anglesey soon - looking forward to the North Wales coast when I’m hoping the virtual and real world collide in the next few weeks.
Happy running everyone 🏃🏻♀️

Amazing morning wasn’t it. I was mostly running along canals, too (13.1km but a visualised rehearsal for 13.1 miles). Glad you know where you are/were, btw, even if Strava lost the plot.
Well done Over! 10 miles is never to be sneezed at, and it sounds like yours went well. 👏👏👏
I lost my distance mojo this winter ever since my planned HM race in March was postponed until the end of May. 🙄 So I’m sticking with max 10k until it’s time to jump back on my plan. 😀
Thank you cheekychipmunks, I really want to do the distance in March so I needed a plan ! Keep going, a regular 10k is a great distance and a springboard o jump into a longer distance plan and then your plan will come to fruition too L the best for you HM in May. 👏😀
