I did 16k on Sunday with a day off yesterday. It took it out of me and I was quite stiff yesterday and still a bit sore this morning but I went for my usual gym day. I nearly turned round half way up the stairs (wish they would get escalators), but cracked on thinking even if I get a couple of km done. On recommendations I decided to have a go at a progressive, speeding up a couple of clicks every KM. Worked well, completed 5 and almost had a bit of a buzz at the end. Mixing it up a little seems to have cheered up my running, have a go if you feel in the doldrums.
More upbeat about running than I have been recently, dragging my distance out in the hope for a good ballot result for London. I would go for a charity place but I will do it only once and I would like to run for my local charity. Am not sure if you can get places on World Marathons after the ballot? Or if there are any other routes to secure a place. Failing that Istanbul looks amazing.
Good luck everyone whatever your plans.
