Today I set off on a 35 min recovery run, the second run in my shiny new Glycerins π.
I set off with good intentions, steady warm up pace BUT at around the 2km mark I felt very good and wanted to open up a bit and test out the pace in the new kicks π€£
I knew the warm up 1st km had likely ruled out a 5k PB but figured I could get close and then the idea hit to see how far I could get in the 35mins I had to run.
I certainly wasnt sprinting but hit a decent level 8 out of 10 for a couple of km and was surprised when I got a dead on 26min 5km (second fastest ever even with a warm up km!)
6km in about 31:40 then I dropped off the pace a bit to finish with 6.6km in 35 minutes.
Very happy with today's efforts, gym tonight then a rest day tomorrow before 10 mile run Sunday π
