Waaaah I did my first HM! I canβt believe it π.
I had sort of set out to do it, but wasnβt going to beat myself up if it didnβt happen, but I am absolutely thrilled to bits. I added part of another route on at the beginning so I didnβt have to run round in circles at the end which really helped.
I saw a group of youngish lads who I see fairly regularly on a Sunday, they fly! Also what looked like a mini running club out doing their thing too. I also always run past the boot camp setting up at the rec, getting all their dumbbells out etc. I also ran past the Cheese and Chilli Festival going on this weekend, which I might go and check out later.
My PPPs (party percys) did me proud, I couldnβt find any jelly babies yesterday, but Percy is the business! π·π·π·. This forum is the business too, because everything about it motivates me and keeps me doing this. Hurrah!
Iβm also super pleased that my pace came in at under 8k, which was a super surprise as I wasnβt expecting it.
Right, I needs a shower! Have a smashing day everyone. πππ

Thank you so much Cmoi! As brilliant as Percy is, I may well have had my fair share already today π. I thought of you as I ran this morning, I have no idea how you get up all those hills! Have a great day πββοΈπββοΈπββοΈ.
Congratulations !! Brilliant feeling isnβt it !!! Iβm still on cloud 9 from one week ago - my first HM. Must try Percy Pig if I ever try again !! Sounds like he made a great running companion ! π·
Ah thank you! It is an amazing feeling, and well done on your HM too. Lol - not sure right now if Iβll do it again either, how on earth do people do full ones? πππββοΈ
Yay Frenc you did it!! I sneaked up on my first HR tooβ¦,told myself I was going to do 10 k plus and my legs just kept going !! There will now be a demand driven Europe wide shortage of Percy Pigs!! That is just brilliant ππππππ
Thank you so much Beachcomber! I am really pleased π. Itβs funny how the milestones arenβt always what we set out to do, Iβd told myself Iβd try and do it in my week off at the end of August. Now I donβt have to! πππ
Oh well done and congratulations Frenc ππ₯³ππ your delight shines through your post π€ and Iβm sure your positivity helped enormously on the run.
Enjoy the feeling, youβve worked hard and deserve to feel very proud and that Percy Pig has a lot to answer for π·
Ah thank you so much Over62! I am still really amazed that I achieved it. My next run will probably be half a k or something π. πββοΈπββοΈπββοΈ
Ah, wonderful π. How fabulous ππ€π€π€π€π€ π π₯³ π π₯π°βοΈπ
Well doneπͺπβ. Enjoy your shower. Get some good grub and then head off to your chilli festival. I had my own chilli fest today. In the garden hunting for ripe cayennes. Came up with only green uns but neβer mind π
Thank you so much misswobble! I seem to be eating a fair bit today π. I donβt think the next one will be for a while! πββοΈπββοΈπββοΈ
I only ran a few kmβs today, doing some intervals, but Iβve shovelled food down me when I got back. Nibbled on some vegan biccies iβd made while I made my lunch π. Bacon, mushrooms, egg, fried potatoes and beets. Homademade cake fβrafters
Thank you Week7! It was a random purchase to be honest, but they did the trick. They went a bit damp and squidgy and stuck together, but it didnβt matter π.
When I first graduated from C25K I bought myself a graduation ribbon that I found in homebargains (meant for graduation from exams) I then ran a first race for Life 5K and made C25K cut out to stick on my balloon that's the pic on my aviator.. don't think you can make it out on the pic..but yeah I actually did πππ
A HUGE well done to you! Sorry Iβm a bit late to the party but Iβm sure youβre still feeling on top of the world! A truly amazing achievement ππππββοΈπββοΈππ
Ah thank you so, so much Jools2020 - I was and am still incredibly surprised, although my calves are pretty stiff today π. I do keep having to pinch myself. Have a nice evening π.
Oh thank you so much NanaPlum, even 2 days later I still canβt quite believe it! Iβm going to aim for a recovery run tomorrow, so itβll be interesting to see how my legs feel π. πββοΈπββοΈπββοΈ
