Iβll just put this here. Elated, exhausted ! What a difference good fuelling and mental gymnastics make !! Ran the first 7km non stop then had a snack and short walk (less than 500metres) then did same at 14k. Had to walk a couple of short stretches around 17k (it was uphill !!!) but managed to run through to the end. So Iβll consider it done. An achievement. Not sure if I can walk (am writing this after a 10 min cool down walk still in the park - have a 15 min walk home yet !!!). At one point I had a view of the London eye from a distance and thought of all those London Landmark fellow runners ! Solidarity !! π₯³ππ‘

My planned progression this month is: 10km (done today), 13.2km, 10 miles (which I've done a couple of times already), 18km (a distance I've done once before), then the HM at the end of the month. Every time I set my sights on a HM something seems to crop up to stop me.
Well done! π
You could always go for the metric marathon next. That's 26.22km. π€ͺ
Yes quite a jump and I wasnβt sure I should do it but people on here encouraged me, said I could do it, and so I had to prove them (and myself) right !! A bit early to contemplate metric marathon yet. Think Iβll enjoy this achievement for a bit longer !
Huge congratulations πππThat's so great... Ooh I just ran my first yesterday and that cool down walk my calfs were protesting!!!
I had a walk in the afternoon afterwards,I know it's probably the last thing you want to do but I feel great today, I'm sure it helped ease the muscles π
Enjoy your rest and some good nutritious food.. and bask in the glory ππππββοΈπππββοΈπππββοΈ

Woohoo! Huge congratulations, that's a fabulous run. A first half narathon in under three hours - brilliant! Tired but hopefully very proud too. Here's a nice new Half.marathon badge to wear with pride!Probably? Not 'never again' is all I'm hearing!!!!
Oooh a badge, Thankyou !! And hope you managed to click the landmarks during your run !! Maybe Iβll be motivated to sign up for a real race next. Maybe a nice βeasyβ 10k !!
