That was a hard slog today! Felt tired right from the start (although I don't know why; had a day off yesterday, only did short, easy runs before that and I was well hydrated). The wind and rain didn't help. Also, trying to avoid an overgrown headgerow that was blocking the pavement, I stumbled on the kerb and took a tumble. Think I'm going to have a bruised arm for a while. That might be the first time I've taken a tumble on a run since before I started C25K. Completed the 25k at an average pace of 6:54/km. It'll be interesting to see how tomorrows 11k goes.

The speedgoats did their job well; I didn't have any problems on the muddy sections.

I guess it's not too surprising there weren't many people out and about today. Didn't see a soul for the first 7k or so.

As for the route: I was re-tracing part that I'd done before. Think I've got today's section pretty well memorised now.

Cheers Windoze. I'm sure I've run further and faster but today's run feels more of an achievement.

Definitely an achievement when its a challenge from the start, AND carrying on after a tumble 💪

The day off, change of routine, can make it feel tougher to get moving.

Glad the tumble was not worse!

Thanks JoJo. My arm's a bit stiff today but it should get better soon.
