Well I'm so very chuffed to be posting my first post on the Marathon Running forum π
Well HM training began this morning with 11K πββοΈπ
Don't know what my legs were thinking when I set out, I wanted to begin slow.. but they thought even slower, just felt tough for the first 4K until they got the message they were in for the long haul π
Got a lovely runner's high on quite a way after that, found a nice steady pace I could enjoy and just went with it πββοΈπ
Really pleased with my run today felt strong on the last K and felt if I had to I had some more left in the tank to carry on..
But that's next week's long run π
I'm so glad to be posting here as before the run I was thinking am I really gonna be training for a HM.. can I ?
So I've proven to myself I am..I can.. and I will ... (Hopefully)π

Well done VRB, keep it going, you'll be at 10 miles before you know it, then be flying towards HM π and those times are pretty good too, think you'll be leaving me behind!!! π€£
Yeh, not posted much for a while, trying to get 2 runs a week done, not done a 10k for about 4 weeks now, just been pretty busy, have started swimming at the gym too!Actualy did a new PB 5k 35:55, which is pretty fast for me! π

Good run today! You can definitely reach your HM goal. First you need to bag a shiny 10 mile (16.1k) badge when the time comes - not too far away now, and then itβs βjust a parkrunβ until you reach the biggie at 21.1k. Youβll do it and you know weβre all here to cheer you on. ππππ In the meantime, keep doing what youβre doing. π
