Well, morning everyone, runners, and IC gang, that was fun, woken up at 5am by the cat πΌ she must have known i couldnt over sleep with the big event today π€£
Anyway, out the door 9.20, time for warm up walk, 9.30, of we go, bit windy down here π¨ or maybe it was Jericho, flying past me at the start line! π€£ it was pretty quiet, a few other runners about, fast gazzelles too, although i felt like a proper runner, out at this time, on a sunday, which is early for me π΄ first time i've done the route, going past my mum's old care home again, and had a bit of a moment going past π₯ anyway, back through another village, a few more walkers out now, then onto the canal for the a few km's, before finishing on an old c25k stretch of road. All in all, happy with the run, was on my own, but did quite alot of chatting π₯ and the pace felt comfortable all the way, thinking i'll stick with 10k for now, so have probably posted on wrong group π€£
Hope everyone elses runs went well, including the HM's too. πππ

A great run there Peter! You had a little but of a mental battle there for a bit and got through it. Well done! Sounds like you enjoyed it, and a nice comfy pace for you. The time for my last 10k was almost identical to yours, but I'm not doing my run until next weekend.
Thank you Diane, my new strava friend, yep, had a moment there, but was expecting it π₯ actualy went over 10k, as was getting notifications from nrc, which doesnt always sinc with strava π€·ββοΈ we obviously both run at a nice comfy pace! π
Obviously itβs all the catβs fault π but well done to you for doing the miles. Bet the cat was asleep all the time you were running .... πββ¬
Thanks Julia, my other new strava friend, now i'll be able to see you pounding up those hills around High wycombe π₯΅ actualy felt strange starting at same time as others, even though they all probably left me behind! π€£Hope everything still on schedule for the move. βΊ
Yes, no doubt my pace will slow down considerably π¬
I donβt know about on schedule, I have a feeling Iβll just be chucking everything left into boxes the night before I move! Doing my best to keep organised, though.
Thanks, yes, alot going on in my head today, so sort of distracted from any pain, but actualy felt pretty comfortable, and was nice setting of, knowing others were doing the same! βΊ
Yes thanks, dinner eaten, feet up and only tomorrow to work then iβve got an unexpected week off, i think my boss will go mad when she realises the 3 days off she suggested runs into Easter and gives me a week, there will be plenty of running
Well done on your 10k Peter ππππ I am another who is regularly woken by the cat in the early hours of the morning. π‘Clearly they are out to sabotage our running...! π€π±π€£
Fantastic!!! Clever cat! I can imagine the emotions were running very high again, it's the little triggers isn't it. Well done for running and chatting your way through it and turning it into such a positive achievement π
Thanks Rebecca, felt good starting of, knowing others, all over the country, were doing just the same, maybe that's why i ran a little bit faster! π€·ββοΈ
Hi from the IC Peter π I seem to have had a couple of weeks with no notifications from HU and been so busy I didn't notice π¬ glad you're fit and able to stretch your legs again, and feeling strong enough to run past your mum's care home. The early morning run sounds like it suited you.... well done on a great 10k π
Hi Littleyellow, sorry to hear your still on the IC, i was wondering where you'd been π€ hope it wont be too much longer for you now π€So far my niggly hip pain is behaving itself, my enforced break has certainly helped, and wont be pushing things too much for now! πββοΈ
Me too ππ it's proving to be a bit of a slow process, and I think fitness is going to be properly dented, but I'll get there π πββοΈπββοΈπ¨
Sorry for late response Peter, family issues are taking up most of my time atm.... I reckon redoing C25K may be the way to go for me too...... but it will be worth it...... I did 4.5k walking today and can't wait to get running again πΆπππ
I'll be keeping everything crossed for you π€π€π€ hope it wont be too long, i know how frustrating it must be, and will be looking out for your posts, and fully understand the family thing, never dull in our house! π€£
Thank you for keeping things crossed for me ππ€I'm getting there πall the strengthening exercises have got to be helpful in the long term ππ€ I'm sorry to say that one of my siblings is really poorly, in a not going to get better sort of way, and I'm trying to support my recently bereaved mother, so I'm not able to keep up with my VRB's as well as usual π¬ hence I keep disappearing, but I'm still plodding on and hopefully will get back to running with you all again πββοΈπββοΈπ¨ meanwhile keep up the good work and don't overdo it, so that you can keep enjoying the running πββοΈπββοΈπββοΈ π
