Not the best nightβs sleep last night. For some reason I woke frequently, plotting the route for todays long run in my head!π€·πΌββοΈ I had decided I would stick to the pavements and roads today following some tough muddy runs recently; today was about the long, slow run, so no need to add to this with the additional challenge of remaining upright on the trails!π
It was lovely and mild out and so nice to see the sunshine at times too. π€ Lots of other runners and walkers out as well but quiet roads meant it was easy to give a little space to people too.
I had initially planned on running a 14k but ended up completing 10 miles (although I couldnβt quite remember what that was in kms so actually plodded on to 16.2k just to make sure!)
I felt the last few k in my legs and certainly slowed up towards the end (π’π) but job done and feeling good now - looking forward to a bacon butty for lunch! I think I earned it!ππ

Well done Sandraj39 thatβs a great effort! Well done for hanging in there and keeping goingππ You certainly earned that bacon butty! π Iβm due to do a 16K run on my HM plan this coming Wednesday. Iβm going to make sure I go just a little bit further too, just to make sure I can call it another 10 miler!ππ
Fantastic Sandra! Yes itβs always best to run that tiny bit too far than a tiny bit not far enough isnβt it, especially on the longer distances. It shouldnβt matter - but it really does! π
Well done on your 10 miles Sandra , you are going great. Yes itβs always good to make sure you get to that milestone. I always go a little bit further than the full km as Garmin downloads to Strava come in a bit short.
