Lovely run on the local bridleways and trails this morning. The photo above was actually taken a couple of weeks ago when out walking. The leaves are coming down quite rapidly now and my beloved Hoka road shoes have been replaced by my Speedgoats. Only my third run in them actually but I was grateful for them this morning as the week's rain had left a lot of the paths and tracks quite muddy and slippy in places.

No real goal for my running at the moment, other than to run for my mental wellbeing and just enjoy!πŸ’•πŸƒπŸ½β€β™€οΈWeekday runs are now on the local pavements and in the dark πŸ”¦so getting out on to the trails at the weekend is just wonderful and today's was just what I needed after a busy week at work.πŸ™‚

Looking forward to more of these muddy, puddle-splashing runs over the next few months now! πŸ‚πŸπŸ’¨πŸ’¦πŸƒπŸ½β€β™€οΈπŸπŸ‚

Happy running everyone! πŸ™‚

How wonderful. That sounds like a lovely run today. I do love running on trails in the mud! Like a child.

Yep, I think there is definitely a 'childhood' thing in it for me too - sadly, a bit slower than I was back then...! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Sounds like a lovely run Sandraj39 it’s great to run without any particular target times or distances, just for the joy of running itself. I’ve tried explaining that to non-runners but it’s fallen on deaf ears!🀣

Sounds a lovely run under the trees Sandra. Autumn has been so lovely, but the strong winds this week seem to have stripped the trees.

What a lovely place to run with no plans other than just to run! Fabulous πŸ’•

I love this because, really what will keep us going out consistently? It'll be as you say, to go out with...'No real goal for my running at the moment, other than to run for my mental wellbeing and just enjoy!πŸ’•'

Perfectly put β˜πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

Hi! I think you are Hoka running shoes fan? I've just ordered the Arahi 4 and a pair of ATR Challenger 5. Changing from Brooks so hopefully this will help my occasional sore knees πŸ™‚

I love my Hoka Arahi 4’s GTFC! I call them my Magic shoes!πŸ’•πŸ‘Ÿ I wear them as much as I can as they really have settled my knee/ITB issues. I have run in the Challengers in the past and am now trying the Speedgoats to see which suit me best on the trails when its really wet and muddy. Do let us know how you get on with them - good luck!πŸ€žπŸ™‚

I thought you did. Oh I'm so glad. I'm really looking forward to them. I think I'll alternate them so should get a year out of both which would be ace. I'll probably see which pair I favour for long runs and wear the others for the shorter ones.

Not what you're looking for?
