Had an injury whilst walking about four weeks ago. Self-diagnosed IT band syndrome. I could barely weight-bear with the pain of my knee. So no running for 2-3 weeks and really nervous going back out. So the last two weeks taking it easy, have built up to 7k and knee ok. But all the runs have been yuk. Waiting to have one of those nice ones again!
I’ve missed a lot of people’s progress as I have not been on be forum so will get reading some now. Hope everyone well.

Glad you’re back Leosmit, albeit not how you’d like it. This weather is hit and miss isn’t it? But you’ll soon have one of those lovely runs again, it can’t be far off. 🤞
That’s exactly what I think happened - I walked down a very steep path after a run and then bam - the pain! But I have good shoes - I got gait analysis and have a pair of minzunos. Spelling not correct! But I’ll read that article again that you have linked to. I tried Hokas in the shop and the sizing wasn’t right for me.
GTFC, every post you post cheers my heart! You are so encouraging. Didn’t realise that - a year ago tomorrow! My first ever social media type thing as I generally hate social media stuff.
Did an 8.5k today. Was a nice run - cool and windy. Has so cheered me up. The same run this day last week was awful!
Yes! That means tomorrow you can do a 'Runniversary' post which will be epic 😁
Gosh, what a year eh? You've only gone and cracked it you know. From having the bravery to give it another shot to being where you are now is just inspiring to so many people on here.
Thank you so much Buddy. Nice 8.5 k today and was listening to a very entertaining podcast (Bob Hope from emmerdale on RunPod). Has cheered me up no end having one of those enjoyable runs! Hope all well with you.
Hang on in there! You're possibly (understandably) still nervous of the knee and not quite relaxing into your runs yet. Your happy run will find you, don't give up on it just yet 😊
