17k abandoned

Yesterday was planned ton be a 17k run as part of my HM plan. Beautiful crisp mourning in London, lovely sunshine to make it cheerful but no where near as warm as last weekend.

I selected the same route as last week a 5.5k loop that I would do 3 times. First loop as great, no pains or aches, kids football matches and gym classes in the park. 2nd loop started well, by about the half way point my left calf felt tight. At 11k I decided it was best to stop, left calf was really stiff. Nothing specific happened to stiffness.

‘Treated’ myself to a deep tissue massage later in the day. A few days rest now needed to let everything settle.

Hope that does the trick (and wasn't too painful) 🤞
