Last week I ran 10.5km and felt fresh as a daisy at the end, so in a flurry of enthusiasm I signed up for the Brighton HM. I reckon it's not particularly likely to happen what with Covid, but if it doesn't I'll just do it on my own in my town, me and my Garmin.
It's on 28th February, which will be my 1 year and 1 fortnight runniversary. I've got four months to train. My 5k best is 33 mins (flat) and my 10k best (or to be totally honest, my 10k only) is 76 mins (hilly). I'm going to be proud of myself if I manage 8 min kms and finish in under three hours. Apparently it's normal for there to be people running that slowly so even if I'm bringing up the rear I won't be alone.
I'm not sure if I've done something stupid but hey ho, nothing ventured nothing gained.
