Missed the rain!

I enjoyed this run as it was at a pace I could maintain after my fairly quick 5k on Wednesday. Hot and sticky but unfortunately missed the thunder and torrential rain.

Unfortunately you missed the heavy rain and thunder, that is a pity, where I am there has not been any thunder but for a short time this morning the ☔ rain was quite heavy, another good run for you today, I am sure you enjoyed it, great time as well.

I loved it. Saw lambs, geese with their goslings, all manner of birds and of course boats. I never like to stop a run to take pictures though 🙈

How did you get on this morning my friend?

Good morning GTFC, I have just come back from my 15th Virtual and 2nd (not) parkrun, nice cool run as the temperature was around 14C, I met 3 other runners when I had just completed my run and they told me they were also running a 5k.

Since I have been running all those 10K runs midweek my Saturday times have been a little slower, 4 weeks ago before I started my 7th 10K my time on Saturday was 32.14, this morning 3 days after I ran my 10th 10K my time was 34.07 but as long as I run sub 35 minutes I'm not too concerned about that, perhaps next week I will set my Metronome app at a higher pace and see if once again I can run at sub 33 minutes, otherwise, I enjoyed my run this morning.

I'd sing this football chant style about you!!

Well done on getting out there so consistently. Your 10k's are really impressive each week. I know what you mean about the 5k times. They are all close which is a good sign. Keep sprinkling your razzle dazzle my friend. 🌈🌈🌈

Thank you very much about that football chant about me, that's really nice of you.

I have told Oldfloss that my Quest for July is to run just over 16K or 10 miles by the end of the month, I will run 1 Kilometre more a week on a Wednesday until I get to 16 kilometers or just a little further.

That's s great idea and I'll be right behind you! It's great to set goals like this.

Interested to know why you track your runs in miles?

Well done btw! 🙂

in reply to 59er

I have Strava in miles and Nike Run Club in km and I use both on my runs. I prefer miles to be honest.

Great run GTFC - and still at a very good pace! 💪Sorry you missed the downpour and thunder 😀⛈. It has really cooled down this evening here in Surrey too - really looking forward to my run tomorrow morning now! 🙂

Ooooh. I look forward to reading how you get on. A bit cooler here tomorrow. I wish you well on your run 😊
