Blast from the Past

I sometimes buy books. Recently found a copy of Jim Fix's book that I had originally owned back in the day. Wondered if anyone else still had or still used it for reference and how it was standing up to the test of time?

Gosh I had not heard of Jim Fixx before, very interesting stuff comes up from Googling! And obviously I have not read this book 😊

Tell us more about it!

Well back in the day, this book got me running seriously, rather than just going for a run. My original much-thumbed copy disappeared on a house move so for 99p I could not resist buying a replacement, especially when I saw it was listed as well worn but in loved condition with side annotations and some folding on the corners, a bit like me really. :-) I fear that even reuniting with this tome of running lore it is unlikely that I will achieve either the weekly milages or speeds of those times, strangely when I remember those past races I seem to have run them faster each time I tell the tale. ;-)

Ha ha!

What is in the book? Does it have training plans?
