So it wasn’t the City of London on this fine April morning like it was supposed to be, no cheering crowds, no race buzz... but protecting lives is the priority right now and that’s totally OK. I completed my 1 hour virtual challenge with 1000s of others today... alone, safely practising social distancing and using my daily quota of one exercise a day outdoors.
This run was for #feedNHS a fantastic campaign to help our NHS heroes through this crazy and unbelievably challenging time. I’m sure I speak for everyone when I say... I wish I could do more.
@cityrunsldn provided a beautiful race shirt, lovely shiny medal and a protein energy ball. Just an idea but I would be happy to wear my race shirt again at next year’s event.
This wasn’t how I imagined the event to be today, but I know I will come back stronger in 2021.
Anyone else doing their challenges virtually? Xx
