Just to say we now have 99 members in the HU team - if you want to join, it's not too late!
I just want to clariify something GoGo_JoJo and I spotted this morning.
It seems it isn't just your first run which needs to be at least 3k in 30 minutes for this tournament.
We are pretty sure that only runs of at least 3k (where the 3k part takes 30 minutes or less) will count towards your country total. On your goal page it says:
Only qualifying runs (at least 3 km in 30 min or less) will count towards your countryβs total kilometres and your weekly personalised Vitality Running World Cup goal.
So, it's not just your initial 'qualifying' run that has to meet that criteria as we had first understood it.
If you're having any problems recording runs, let us know in the comments below and I'll see if I can find a way around it.
At time of posting, there are 99 members in the HU team, making us one of the biggest teams - it's still not too late to join - and we have a good selection of contributing runs recorded already. Well done everyone πππ
Go team HU!!!

I'm in, but I'm running for a Norwegian team. I can't see that countries are being ranked yet. Is that right? It would be helpful if we could how we're doing.
Disappointing isn't it. I'm wondering if it won't update the country table until the end of the qualifying period now. You can still join the HU team - if you haven't already - and keep your country allegiance π
Done. But I must admit, putting my settings to βeveryoneβ unnerves me a little - it means anyone can see where you run and what time of day? π± Anyone rose worry about this?
Kinda but I have a privacy zone set so no part of my runs is shown for an 1/8th of a mile around my house plus I usually start my watch a few starts away anyway after my walk so it's just my general neighbourhood.
I figure that there's so many people out there why would I stand out...
I have set the privacy zone too, and like you, don't start my Garmin until I am a fair distance from home (warm up walk!), but still, still a bit paranoid!
Me either! When I read that comment I wondered if they meant they were leading the team because their runs had doubled up, rather than HU were leading the teams.
Hi Linda I donβt know what Iβm doing wrong. I went to privacy and connections on my Garmin. As Iβm not on Facebook I had to open up a google account to connect ? I donβt think this is right somehow? I also went to privacy policy .... but that seemed to confuse me even more.
Anyway just wondered if you could explain it to me one more time? Ugh! Iβm so twitty!π€―π€―
2. top right hand corner there is yur garmin icon - click on this 'profile and account' button and then select 'account settings' from the drop down list
3. Select 'privacy settings' from the list on the left hand side
4. Check the setting for 'activity' on this screen; I have mine set to 'connections', but I think it can be anything EXCEPT 'only me' (because 'only me' means nothing can look atyour activities even if you have allowed them access to your garmin account).
Ahh, that's not good! Runkeeper is definitely not in there (although I did send it as a suggestion a couple of weeks ago - you could do the same). I'm afraid I don't know anything Apple, shockingly ignorant in that quarter! The only things I can suggest is that you double check your privacy settings are open enough in Apple Health. If that looks OK, maybe do a separate post on here to see if anyone else is using that tracker. Finally, complete their problem form for recording untracked runs (they do suggest waiting 24 hours) - there's a link in the pinned post I just put up - the more forms they have to process, the more likely they are to prioritise fixing their bugs!!!
Would you consider linking Apple Health to say mapmyrun as well just for this challenge? That seems to work better with vrwc than strava at the moment!
Mapmyrun is very like runkeeper I think. You could use both, even if just for the duration of this tournament, so you get to keep all your data in runkeeper as well.
You could probably set the whole thing up on the web without ever downloading the app to your phone. Go into mapmyrun, sign up then link your apple health account.
Alternatively you could download the mampmyrun app to your phone and either start it everytime you run, or link your apple health account so it gets sent to mammyrun automatically . There are some instructions here: support.mapmyfitness.com/hc...
It worked Linda. Submitted my Saturday Run manually to them and that was updated. Just finished a 7 mile run this morning and itβs auto updated already! Thnks for your help and advice! X
