I started CT5K March last year then I did parkruns then 10K training then I joined a running club the best thing Iβve ever done and Iβve learned so much plus the social side alone is fantastic so I started went further and further did 10 miles now today I went out and I ran Half a Marathon and Iβm so proud of myself and Iβve never felt so fit. I remember my first week of CT5K the first 60 seconds nearly did me in π now look at me ππππππ»ββοΈππ»ββοΈ

With a great coach and such solid club support, youβll get stronger and stronger!
Yes he really is a great coach and more of a friend now he is 72 and park runs in around 24 mins I do take my hat of to him he always gets first in his age category ππ
A 24 minute 5k at 70 years old?! Amazing! Wow, there is hope for us then!
Absolutely brilliant KevTrev! Youβre clearly a natural. Really well done! ππ πββοΈ

Congratulations Kevtrev. You are certainly a c25k poster boy. What you have achieved in a year is brilliant - you should be so proud of yourself.
Wow, fantastic! Congratulations. Running is clearly a huge part of your life now, bet you had no idea when you went out for C25K W1R1 not so long ago ππππ
Thank you Linda and yes I canβt ever see myself not running this is me now and the rest of my life. No I had no idea how far I was going to go with it and not in a million years did I think I would be able to Run Half a Marathon ππππx

Just seen this - huge congratulations on your shiny new Half Marathon badge! "Wear with pride"!ππ
Just seen this, well done you! You're doing so brilliantly with your running. If someone had told you this time last year that you'd be running a half marathon I bet you wouldn't have believed it! π π₯ βΊ
Thank you Debston Iβve not been on as much as I used to nice to hear from you are you doing well. And no I wouldnβt have believed it if you said I would be running a half marathon after just short of a year but Iβm not sure if I want to do a full marathon?
Am doing OK, thanks Kev, though my dodgy hip has just started playing up again after parkrun yesterday so I am going to have to be a bit careful with it this week... Hopefully won't be out of action for too long! I can't imagine running a full marathon but I guess you'll know if you suddenly get the urge to give it a go. The furthest I have done is 10km, only twice but really enjoyed both times. That's far enough for me, for now!
Well done. I started about the same time as you and amazed myself by doing my first HM in November and then another in January. Still to do an actual organised one (tempted to give Edinburgh a try in May). Like you, I can't believe how far (literally) I've come since that first 60 seconds that almost killed me. Can't see myself moving up to the full marathon either, but amazing that we've got this far.
