Hope everyone had a great weekend run. Alcester 10K weather was really good Dry sunshine nice breeze perfect really. The run is just Fabulous. Starts and finishes in the centre of Alcester. It's got loads of variety up's and downs plenty of countryside really great atmosphere friendly and supportive locals the roads are closed for the run 3 drinks stations including the cider at station 3, not partaken by me despite the wonderful and tempting smell as i meandered past up hill at that stage.
I can't recommend this run enough to anyone contemplating it next year don't hesitate i will all being well be entering again. Picture attached with Bling small but tasteful a bit like my running buddy and a nice tea shirt.
Have a great week everyone.

Thank You JoJo i improved my best 10k time but i haven't found any matching socks yet for my shirt so i think that's the missing link for next year. Congrats on your new admin role and as always your awesome running
It is quicker than Stratford which is much flatter which is a bit odd. I won't ever trouble the Timekeepers that much but i'm creeping towards the magic 60 mins😁 Your friend did amazingly well i can only dream of that. Hope you can make it to next years it's well worth it.
It is a lovely race just good fun entries open for next year already i have entered i will be the bloke at the back clutching a PG Tips (other tea's are available ) monkey. Hopefully you will be there and have as much fun as i do.
Aw, MrFox, our PG Tips monkey looks after our bananas 😀 Good to know there are still some about, I hope he enjoys his runs with you 😁 I’ll definitely be entering but I just need to put my name down for the Shakespeare Half first, and I’ve just had an email about the Shakespeare Hospice Santa Dash, then there’s next years’ Big10k as well! It’s all go!! I will need to start a campaign for a Purity Beer station to go with the cider but I promise I will enter! 👍
Thank's Dexy it's great when the weather and the course and the atmosphere make it a perfect running day it's just a pleasure to be outside moving one foot in front of the other.
It was the smell of fresh apples that was so tempting but it was on an uphill stretch so probably my senses where heightened by the extra effort i was putting in at that point and the though of the last 2k being downhill!!!!!
You should definitely give it a go next year as it's just down the road. It doesn't show in the WRRL list of races, i hadn't heard of that till you mentioned it but i looked it up on there web site.
