Just back from a visit to Barry Island as a big Gavin and Stacey fan. Shame it was a bit wet. Had a cake and latte in Marcos Cafe opposite the beach. Looking forward to tomorrow.
My room is on the third floor. Don't think I will be coming back to my room for a while after the race tomorrow at least until I have had a good rest lol.

With the Forecast rain probably a very wise move. Still i have the thought of the free Cider at Drinks station 3 to keep me going and some dry clothes waiting in the car. I LOVE RUNNING!!!!!
Thank you Roseabi, but I have made the decision to withdraw from the bournemouth half this weekend. I did a trial run yesterday 4.5 miles and my groin felt uncomfortable and niggly. Not pain as such but it was subsequently aggravated last night with a bit of limping at times. I am not convinced that I could run a half marathon on it at the moment without doing more injury.
So has mine, hm race number went in the bin this morning and 5 mins later GSR race number arrived! I hope I am fit by then as I see a pacer I would like to stalk!

To add to the mix, I am stupidly doing a RoughRunner obstacle run on Sunday at Morden Park. You would think I had learnt my lesson after last Sunday's HM!
😁🥰 😊 Thank you. I'm so excited and emotional to see this post! It is so surreal though, who would have thought little old me would run a marathon?! I am a bag of nerves, verging on slightly terrified lol but once we arrive in Bournemouth tomorrow and soak up the atmosphere I will be excited again. I've done my training, ran my last run today so all I can do is wait and run it! Thank you to everyone who has helped me through all my wobbles. Whoooo marathon time! 👍🙈😳🤣🤞🏃♀️🥳 xx
